Klar products are available throughout Germany in many organic shops and organic supermarkets such as Alnatura and denns. Some large supermarkets such as REWE and EDEKA also stock our products. You can also find many online shops by searching the internet. You can order all products from our online shop. Unfortunately, our products are not available in large drugstore chains.

No, Klar EcoSensitive products do not contain any animal ingredients.
The only exception is Klar EcoSensitive gall soap, which contains ox gall. Gall is a waste product from meat processing.
None of our products are tested on animals.
All Klar EcoSensitive products are vegan, with the exception of Bio-gall soap.
The Klar EcoSensitive Delicates & Wool detergent is vegan in terms of its formula.
However, we do not advertise this on the packaging, as it can also be used to wash wool and silk. It is also suitable for delicate batiste blouses. As it is soap-free, it is also ideal for washing sportswear and clothing with breathable membranes, washable sheepskins and down.
Klar has been a brand of AlmaWin Reinigungskonzentrate GmbH since 2002.
AlmaWin was founded in 1993 by Rudolf Bund. The mission was and is to develop a cleaning system that enables health-conscious and allergy-prone people in particular to keep their homes hygienically clean with less impact on their health. The formulas, based on natural ingredients, also ensure a very low environmental impact.
The company is located in Winterbach, in the Remstal valley, in the greater Stuttgart area, and has strong ties to the region.
Of course, EcoSensitive products that come into contact with the skin, i.e. all detergents, hand dishwashing liquids and cleaning products, are subjected to dermatological testing. The words ‘dermatologically successfully tested’ on the packaging indicate that the product has passed this test.
The dermatological test is carried out at a German scientific institute. The products are tested on volunteers – including those with skin problems – in the usual dilution by means of a skin contact test. Only products that pass this test without complaint may be labelled ‘dermatologically successfully tested’.
On this basis, and also thanks to numerous positive customer contacts, we can say that Klar EcoSensitive products are generally suitable for sensitive skin and for those who are sensitive to fragrances. However, special circumstances and individual sensitivities can of course still lead to reactions.
Klar EcoSensitive products are eco-certified with ECOGARANTIE or ECOCERT. These certifications ensure the highest level of biodegradability.
Since the products are made from plant-based and mineral raw materials and do not contain any synthetic ingredients that are difficult to break down, the impact on the environment and aquatic ecosystems is kept to a minimum.
Direct customer contact over many years has repeatedly confirmed that people with neurodermatitis tolerate Klar EcoSensitive detergents well. Of course, this is very individual and we cannot guarantee skin compatibility in every case.
Klar EcoSensitive detergents are consistently dermatologically tested. The tests are carried out at a German scientific institute. The volunteer test participants include people with skin problems. Only if the test is passed without complaint is the product awarded the label “dermatologically tested with success.”
In addition, three detergents* have been examined, tested, and recommended by the DAAB, the German Allergy and Asthma Association. The DAAB is a recognized organization that supports people with all types of allergies and asthma. Tested and recommended products carry the green DAAB label.

All Klar EcoSensitive products are fragrance-free. They contain neither synthetic nor natural fragrances.
There is one exception: Klar EcoSensitive Dishwashing Liquid Orange with Citrus Auranthium Peel Oil from certified organic cultivation.

For optimal cleaning results with Klar EcoSensitive dishwasher tabs or Klar EcoSensitive dishwasher powder
- use Klar EcoSensitive rinse aid and add Klar EcoSensitive dishwasher salt.
- set the machine to the local water hardness.
If there are dull white spots on glasses and cutlery that can be easily removed with lemon juice or vinegar, these may be limescale stains. In this case, be sure to follow the instructions above and check the settings.
By the way, you can remove limescale stains with a wash cycle using Klar EcoSensitive Bio-Descaler.
Our recommendation: Klar EcoSensitive Wool & Delicates
This detergent is soap-free and has a very mild formula. This makes it suitable for particularly delicate fabrics such as batiste, wool or silk, baby sheepskins, down jackets, wool-silk shirts, synthetics, sportswear and sportswear with elastane or breathable membranes. Important: Items must be labelled as washable. (See the label in the clothing).
Fine & Wool is also very suitable for hand washing and as a travel detergent.
Always follow the washing instructions provided by the textile manufacturer.
If you have hard or very hard water, you can add Klar Water Softener. This will save you detergent.
For hard water (water hardness 14 - 21°dH (German Waterhardness)* = hard), use the detergent dosage for soft water and add 10 ml of water softener to the detergent.
For very hard water (water hardness >21°dH (German Waterhardness) = very hard), use the detergent dosage for soft water and add 30 ml of softener to the detergent.
Simpler?
With Klar EcoSensitive detergents, you do not generally need to add softener. All Klar EcoSensitive detergents are formulated to work even with very hard water. The softening agent is already ‘built into’ the formula.
It is particularly important to use the recommended dosage printed on each product. This ensures optimal washing results and does not damage the washing machine.
